Brazil have produced some of the finest talents of all time who have dominated the world of football like no other in their history. Pele, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Kaka, and Neymar Junior are some of the best players that came from the South American country.
And now, the lineage has fallen to Vinicius Junior, who became a global star thanks to his heroics with Real Madrid in a very short time. But that doesn’t stop with him because Endrick, a 17-year-old Brazilian prodigy, is set to take the world by storm as well.
Endrick helped Palmeiras win the Brazilian League and not only did he do that, he also overcame Neymar’s record to become the second U17 player to have scored the most goals in the Brazilian League after Ronaldo Nazario.
Ronaldo netted 12 goals as a teenager in the league and Endrick has 10, the 17-year-old requires two more goals to overcome the legendary figure who guided Brazil to World Cup glory in 2002.
Endrick, just 17, already has four major titles in his trophy cabinet. The Brazilian won his second league title and has also won Paulista and Supercopa.
He has six goals in his last eight matches with Palmeiras and has featured in a total of 53 matches with the club across competitions where he bagged 14 goals and an assist.
With the form and athleticism he has shown, it can be said that the future of Brazil is surely in safe hands as two of the best forwards in the world right now, Vinicius and Rodrygo, are likely to combine forces with the 17-year-old once he becomes a regular with the national team.
Endrick is set to embark on his journey in Europe with Real Madrid as he will travel to Santiago Bernabeu in June 2024, once he turns 18.
Madrid have already signed Endrick for a €37.50m fee and are eager to integrate the Brazilian prodigy into their squad for next season.
It is worth mentioning that most of the key players of Los Blancos’ squad are youngsters. Players like Vinicius, Rodrygo, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, Militao, and Bellingham are all below the age of 23 except Valverde, who is 25.
With Endrick joining this young core at the Spanish capital next year, the Whites look all set to have set players who will lead the club for the current decade.
